Anthony Rubio and Bogie and Kimba marched in the 46th Annual Pride Parade in New York City

We so enjoyed marching in the 46th Annual Pride March for so many reasons. First and foremost to support and to represent the LGBT community which is why we do it every year but this year on the heels of the horrible incident in Orlando where so many innocent lives were taken we marched to remember and acknowledge the victims. There is also the fact that we march to demonstrate that we are all equal. A message also had to be sent, that when threatened we do not back down, we as a nation stand up and support one another no matter what the gender or status. Lastly there is a message about Love. Love always wins because Love is Love.

Bogie and Kimba are wearing their Rainbow Warrior attire proudly after we did the NYC Pride march. They loved every minute of the experience and they loved wearing these outfits the whole time. They give me PRIDE. Headdress and tops by Anthony Rubio.

Amazing time at the Bideawee Ball held at Pierre Hotel. It was great seeing so many familiar faces out for a great cause. The fundraiser raised One Hundred Fifty Thousand dollars for New York’s homeless animals.

Kimba was regal in an ensemble which consisted of tuxedo, tails of course, matching top hat and, the final touch, a long detachable cloak trimmed in feathers. The entire couture ensemble was encrusted in coral glass beading and sequins as was my matching naughty bow tie. All created by Anthony Rubio.

Anthony Rubio and his Chihuahua duo Bogie and Kimba marched in the 59th annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Both Bogie and Kimba donned these elaborate Taino Indian inspired jeweled headdresses with tons of feathers which they gladly wore for three straight hours with out once feeling the need to shake them off. Their outfits were created from panels of photos of the flag all designed by Anthony Rubio.

Kimba and I had a wonderful time participating in the 2016 New York City Easter Parade and Bonnet Parade on fashionable Fifth Avenue. We hope one and all had a blessed day.

Kimba’s elaborately decorated yellow tuxedo encrusted in faux pearls and crystals with matching signature top hat featuring a pheasant embellished with crystals and miniature colorful eggs as well as my fabulous top hat and coordinating naughty tie created by Anthony Rubio Designs.

Anthony Rubio at the 57th Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade

Today was he grandest of events where an estimated 2 million people came out to celebrate and honor our heritage with pride and much pomp. We marched in the 57th Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade and were embraced by the cheers, howls and people asking to take our photos. It was like a huge hug from God being acknowledged, respected and loved without judgement or envy. We had the privilege of strutting my designs on the “True” runway of life. At one point I looked up into the sky because I sensed the pride and love of my ancestors and also from my Bandit who once marched in this very parade. Que Viva Puerto Rico.

I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the Watermark at the South Street Seaport on Pier 15. The food was delicious. Met the lovely actress Rosario Dawson. She mentioned how we were so color-coordinated and how she was taken with my Naughty tie design.
