Since so many have expressed their anticipation of my 10th Season New York Week Fashion Show and while we prepare the actual footage of the show in it’s entirety, we decided to share this lovely short video compiling my creations into a quick peek just to wet your appetites. For my anniversary (mile stone) I did not one but two shows which were so greatly received. My second show was an archival collection which also unveiled new designs created over the weekend. That video will soon be shared as well. There is so much to tell about these shows but that will come in time.For now enjoy this short film.

“Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble. It is #Halloween and the best chilling news is served up cold. I was invited to come on too Cheddar news to discuss canine Halloween fashions and inspirations along with my boys Bogie and Kimba. With all the hype about Keylie Jenner dressing up her baby as herself for the recent Met Gala a peak at Bogie and Kimba dressed as Keylie and her sister Kendall summoned the attention of producers who wasted no time to get us in on the Halloween fun. Take a few minutes to watch our segment and perhaps you will be inspired for your pup’s next Halloween outings. Happy Halloween! or as Bogie and Kimb call it Howloween!

New York Pet Fashion Show 2020

I took a break from preparing for the official New York Fashion Week and attended the Pet Fashion Show 2020 we were invited to so that Bogie and Kimba could take part in the Space inspired couture segment. It was about my little ambassadors representing my brand and they did it wonderfully. Bogie’s ensemble was inspired by The Ziegfeld Follies over a century ago. While the outfit glowed in white sequins with half moons and stars in gold sequins it was the custom sculpted half moon hat I created which featured crystals, and a variety of stars with metallic gold trim. It was three dimensional and light as a feather and quite a show stopper. Kimba was my silver space traveler with a custom helmet and light up hose collar. They both rocked it and the audience clearly enjoyed our presentation and my boys.

Pet Fashion Designer Anthony Rubio made a guest appearance on Vice Live and it was such a blast. He brought Kimba along debuting his newest canine couture and everyone was so blown away. The hosts and camera crew could not get over how poised Kimba was. They even asked if he was on anything and that turned into a funny moment. Here is the clip from his segment. On Thursday, October 11, 2018 The Guide Dog Foundation held its 2nd Annual Dogs on the Catwalk Gala. With, what I deem, a brilliant collaboration of the Guide Dog Foundation and Anthony Rubio Designs, sponsored by Marchon Eyewear a grand total of One Hundred Thousand dollars was raised. I can go on and on about the event, the venue, the attendees and the fun but I think this video will show you best.

Here it is folks. I am both happy and proud to share with all of my most resent fashion presentation in its entirety, as seen at the fabulous Angel Orensanz Foundation featuring my designs for Spring/Summer 2019 and modeled by my beautiful ladies and canine models. There is also a special appearance by a handsome little gentleman and a Golden Lab from the Guide Dog Foundation For The Blind known as Sunny The Dog With A Purpose, which the world has watched growing up on NBC’s “Today Show”.

This just in….CNN I get so blown away when, after my shows, the emails start arriving from far and wide of Anthony Rubio Designs sightings in the press, television or on the internet. Case in point, CNN in Indonesia just did this story. I have also been informed of sightings in New Zealand, Germany, Australia and more. Having my art and my brand spoken around the globe is such an honor. The sky’s the limit.

A.M. New York Kills 2 Birds With One Stone Okay A.M. New York did not literally kill any birds but they did come to the Anthony Rubio Designs Spring Summer 2020 New York Fashion Week Show to cover not only the fashion show but to also follow and write up the story of Gil the guide dog in training who walked the runway as well. This is a perfect segway for me to announce that next month Anthony Rubio Designs will present for the Third Annual Dogs On The Catwalk, the much anticipated fundraising event to benefit The Guide Dog Foundation. Pet Fashion Designer Anthony Rubio made a live appearance on It’s A Great Day San Antonio on KENS-5 on the CBS network with Yolanda Ayala of Woman Ay Chihuahua Magazine to promote the event PAWS For Fashion which benefits San Antonio Humane Society and Pet Alive! Shelter. Anthony Rubio presented a mini-collection of my Women’s Wear and Canine Couture on the show.

Pet Couturier Anthony Rubio, is no stranger to the runways, having done runway shows for nearly ten years with the last five during Fashion Week. He had a plan in place to break the stigma and barriers presenting his canine couture as escorted by human models wearing his women’s wear fashions at the historic Angel Orensanz Center, originally a Synagogue built in 1850.

News In China! Always fun to see how the Anthony Rubio Designs fashion shows are received near or far. My Fall/Winter 2018 New York Fashion Week presentation titled The Year Of The Dog part 1 has reached China and apparently its big news.

I introduced you to my name sake, Yellow Lab Rubio. Since then, someone has been doing a bit of growing. Rubio is in a foster home, part of his training to eventually become a full fledged guide dog. He doesn’t fall short on cuteness and he sure is a lovable little guy as you will see. Here are photos of my pride and joy Rubio! My name is Rubio and I am only 2 months old. They say I am destined for great things but first I go through extensive training. Sheesh talk about pressure. The Guide Dog Foundation For The Blind / America’s Vet Dogs provide guide dogs to those eligible who are in need of assistance and companionship. This can only be made possible through the kindness and benevolence of those making donations. Your donations will truly change the lives of others in need.

I have been wanting to share this short film for a bit with all but wanted to keep it to myself for my private viewing, reminding me that only we create our goals as well as limits. Imagine being granted the opportunity to actually curate your very own exhibit of your selected favorite archival creations. These creations went on display awhile ago and was very well received and celebrated. Sometimes when I look back at this experiences I inspire myself to take new journeys and share my love of art with the world.

Designer Anthony Rubio showcased his Canine Couture line along with his Women’s Wear Spring/Summer 2016 collection during New York Fashion Week at Gotham Hall on September 12th, 2015.

Pet Fashion Designer Anthony Rubio appeared as a guest on the premier episode of the daytime talk-show Ice & Coco on the FOX network.

He presented his most iconic creations modeled by canine models and walked out by female models. Mr Rubio became the sole designer for the show’s mascots’ Bulldogs Maximus and Spartacus for the entire first season.

Designer Anthony Rubio along with Chihuahuas Bogie and Kimba attended the Global Couture theme New York Pet Fashion Show.

They are representing the United Kingdom in the Global Fashion theme event. Bogie and Kimba as well as model Briella are wearing his designs.

Last night, Saturday September 21, 2013 at New York’s legendaryMuseum Of The Moving Image, I made history by presenting for the first time ever in any museum anywhere, a canine fashion show which consisted of my newest couture creations. I invited a very talented friend who appeared on Season 10 of Project Runway named Vengsarkar Budhu of Gavaskar to collaborate with me and create a collection also to be presented on the models who escorted the canines on the runway. This was brought together by The Latino Show Magazine. In attendance was a who’s who in a menagerie of Latino entertainment, arts and culture dressed to the nines to celebrate our multi-faceted heritage. We were also graced with the attendance of the 2013 New York City mayoral candidate Joe Lhota.

Anthony Rubio became the first Pet Fashion designer to showcase during New York Fashion Week in 2012.

Anthony Rubio of Bandit Rubio Designs interviewed for USA Network. Aired during The 136th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on February 14, 2012 at the Pre-Westminster Fashion Show.

The interviewer is American sportscaster and former professional tennis player Mary Carillo.
