The Pet Hero Awards celebrate individuals, associations, professionals, pets and business organizations that demonstrate a commitment to improving and protecting animal lives.

Anthony Rubio attends The 2017 Bideawee Ball held at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York.

Amazing time had by all at the 2017 Bideawee Ball held at The Pierre Hotel. It was great seeing so many familiar faces out for a great cause. The fundraiser raised 600 Thousand dollars for homeless animals.

We were thrilled to have met actress Loretta Swit (TV’s M*A*S*H) at the 2017 Bideawee Ball. She is also a great animal welfare advocate. My Chihuahua Kimba even got a kiss. Her latest book SwitHeart is out now.

Anthony Rubio Designs Featured on Instagram.

Yesterday, I received an email from Instagram saying they wanted to feature the picture of Bogie and Kimba wearing the designs I created for the Pride Parade on their official account. Instagram has 171 Million followers. The photo was posted today and so far has 763,000+ likes and 3,690 comments. Today happens to be National Social Media Day. What a way to celebrate. I created Bogie and Kimba’s page 6 months ago.

Amazing time at the Bideawee Ball held at Pierre Hotel. It was great seeing so many familiar faces out for a great cause. The fundraiser raised One Hundred Fifty Thousand dollars for New York’s homeless animals.

Kimba was regal in an ensemble which consisted of tuxedo, tails of course, matching top hat and, the final touch, a long detachable cloak trimmed in feathers. The entire couture ensemble was encrusted in coral glass beading and sequins as was my matching naughty bow tie. All created by Anthony Rubio.

Anthony Rubio and his Chihuahua duo Bogie and Kimba marched in the 59th annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Both Bogie and Kimba donned these elaborate Taino Indian inspired jeweled headdresses with tons of feathers which they gladly wore for three straight hours with out once feeling the need to shake them off. Their outfits were created from panels of photos of the flag all designed by Anthony Rubio.

Kimba and I had a wonderful time participating in the 2016 New York City Easter Parade and Bonnet Parade on fashionable Fifth Avenue. We hope one and all had a blessed day.

Kimba’s elaborately decorated yellow tuxedo encrusted in faux pearls and crystals with matching signature top hat featuring a pheasant embellished with crystals and miniature colorful eggs as well as my fabulous top hat and coordinating naughty tie created by Anthony Rubio Designs.

With this wonderful Holiday weekend upon us and all of those concerned folks chiming in on safety for pets, which is quite noble, We want to remind everyone to have fun and yes play safe. Watch the children, be careful in the waters whether on vehicles or at beaches. Keep distant from explosives and use good judgement when it comes to drinking and not driving. Without us our little ones would have no one to care for them or, on the other hand, they would have no one with whom to share their unconditional love.

I confess that I am not one to normally venture out of my comfort zone and yet when it comes to my creations I do my very best to think outside of the box. That said, last week I accepted the cordial invitation of one exceptionally talented visionary/artist who uses her camera as painters use brushes and paint to create masterpieces. I put myself along with Bogie & Kimba in her hands and what you will witness is a marvelous yet satirical vision of one incomparable photographer extraordinaire Pamela Paige.
I plan to bring the fabulous Pamela Paige to my next event (TBA) in the near future so that she may photograph those who attend with their fur babies, that proceeds can be donated to a most worthy cause involved in animal rescue.

Canine Models Bogie and Kimba are wearing Oriental attire inspired by the” China Through The Looking Glass” Exhibit at The New York City Metropolitan Museum, complete with coordinating head dresses designed by Anthony Rubio.
